• Patient Check-in and check-out
• Assist patients by providing information, and services, and displaying empathy for their needs
• Maintains medical supplies inventory and performs preventive maintenance to keep medical equipment operating.
• Verifies patient information by interviewing the patient, recording medical history, and confirming the purpose of the visit.
• Prepares patients for examination by performing preliminary tasks such as reviewing current medications, and physical tests; taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature; and reporting patient history summary.
• Must perform tasks such as:
o Allergy Testing Prick and intradermal/Blood
o Food Challenge
o Multiple Rapid Infection testing
o Assist with Biopsy procedures
o Assist with I&D (incision drainage)
o Spirometry/Peak flow
o Patch application/reading/removal
o Ear lavage
o Assist skin tag removal
o Prepare patches
o Infusion care
o Process prescriptions electronically and Process appeals for medications
o Open and close front desk journal
o Cross-cover front desk
o Cross-cover Shot department
o Cross cover Filing/Medical Records
o Cross-cover other tasks as needed
• Secures patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records; completing diagnostic coding and procedure coding; and keeping patient information confidential.
• Counsels patients by transmitting physician’s orders and questions
• Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
• Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt.
• Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications.
• Serves and protects the practice by adhering to professional standards; facility policies and procedures; and federal, state, and local requirements.
• Enhances practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
• Assist providers as needed.

Verbal and Written communication in English Must be able to communicate in Spanish with Spanish Speaking patients when performing patient-faced duties.

Hours:
Monday, Wednesday and Friday: 8:45 am - 4:45 pm with a half hour paid lunch included
Tuesday and Thursday: 7:45 am - 3:45 pm with a half hour paid lunch included
Saturday: 9:00 am - 1:00 pm, as needed.
