Job Description

This position is responsible for the creation, management, and maintenance of product content to support our online business in key online retailers. It includes, but is not limited to, product setup short and long descriptions, attributes, and media assets to be compliant and accurate. He/she will also support other copy requirements for digital channels such as social media sites, blogs, print ads, video scripts, etc.

In addition, he/she will analyze key content tools such as content analytics to ensure the integrity of our product’s published information.   This position will constantly evaluate ranking and performance of our online presence and spot opportunities that can be taken into actions for content updates, content development and or content process improvements resulting from analyses of reviews, traffic, market research.

  • Write product short and long description considering relevant keywords and unique product features.
  • Creates and maintain a digital universal copy style and standards guide.
  • Creates copy for marketing campaigns and banner ads. Included but not limited to headlines, body, collection pages, etc.
  • Provides keywords to Digital Asset Specialists to maintain synergy and maximize ranking on key terms.
  • Respond to negative reviews and Q&As. Create and maintain a reviews guideline that is approved by legal department.
  • Customer insights based on information gathered from review monitoring tools including but not limited to Spark Reviewers, Vine and Review Monitoring.
  • Identify top items, year-round programs, to optimize content and improve product ranking.
  • Execute and lead key SEO driven activities based on priorities (i.e copy updates).
  • Review and optimize short and long description based on information gathered from reviews, industry reports, market analysis and other commercial input that may be received.
  • Stay abreast of SEO (search engine optimization ) trends and updates to ensure SEO optimized product copy.
  • Work closely with Ecom Sales teams to setup item lists in content analytics.
  • Work closely with other ecom. Team member to ensure that new items are properly being displayed in the respective .com (using tools such as content analytics).
  • Analyze key content metrics for main retailers and other sources of information like market trends, reviews and Q&A.
  • Provide input and summary of key highlights and trends to the rest of the team. Liaison to connect this information with rich content.
  • Lead SEO efforts. Setup product titles, meta-data and search tags to help us rank better.
  • Create product short and long description maintain brand guidelines and tone.
  • Creates and maintain a copy style and standards guide.
  • Update copy of website and provide input for other sections of the site.
  • Support content creation for marketing campaigns such as email blasts, catalogs, ads. Work closely with Social Media lead to create and guide content creation.
  • Monitor SEO ranking and Google analytics 


Job Requirements

  • Degree in communications (English), journalism, marketing, creative writing or related fields.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in similar position.  
  • Proven ability of copy writing skills for ecommerce purposes
  • Apparel or retail experience a significant advantage.
  • Knowledge of SEO basics and the importance of written content and product descriptions.
  • Marketing Analytics.
  • Native English speaker.
  • Computer literacy: Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Advance Excel skills (v lookup, writing formulas, etc). Knowledge of SEO tools Google AdWords, Moz or a like. Familiar with Google Analytics or Omniture. Familiarity with Content Analytics a plus.
